Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, has been elevated to the rank of Field Marshal

Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, has been elevated to the rank of Field Marshal by the Pakistani government. After defeating the enemy, he was elevated to the position of Field Marshal. The Ministry of Defense sent out a notification following cabinet approval. After Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu’s term ended, it was decided unanimously to keep him on staff.

According to Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, he is thankful to Allah Ta’ala for bestowing upon him the title of Field Marshal. The names of ghazis and civic and military martyrs are particularly honored, as is the whole Pakistani military. According to Field Marshal Asim Munir, he is appreciative of the President, Prime Minister, and Cabinet’s trust. Millions of Asims have likewise made sacrifices for this distinction, which is a national trust. This is an honor for the Pakistani military and the country as a whole, not for any one person.

The second Pakistani army head to be elevated to this role is Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Ayub Khan, who crushed India’s aggressive ambitions in the 1965 war and delivered a humiliating defeat, was appointed to the rank of Field Marshal before him. He was the first Field Marshal of Pakistan.
