ISTANBUL, (May 23) Türkiye saw 10.59 million foreign visitors in the first four months of 2025, according to official data released Friday. The number of arrivals between January and April declined slightly by 0.6% compared to the same period last year, per the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
Istanbul remained the top tourist destination, accounting for 50.4% of foreign arrivals—nearly 5.34 million visitors. Antalya and Edirne followed, with Edirne attracting travelers from Bulgaria and Greece.
Germany ranked as the leading source of tourists, comprising 10.8% of total arrivals, followed by Russia and Iran. In April alone, Türkiye hosted 3.9 million foreign visitors, marking an 8% year-over-year increase.
