Hina Javed Murder Case: Family Demands Judicial Commission to Probe Rawalpindi Killing

ISLAMABAD — The family of Hina Javed, a married woman murdered in Rawalpindi, has urged the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Minister of Punjab to set up a special judicial commission to ensure a transparent investigation of the Hina Javed murder case.

Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad, the victim’s brother, Fahad Javed, called for the immediate sharing of all forensic and DNA reports with the family.

“The cruelty with which Hina was killed is indescribable. We cannot begin to comprehend the pain she endured in her final moments,” Fahad said, reflecting on the brutal nature of the crime.

Fahad raised strong suspicions regarding the behaviour of the victim’s husband, Faisal Asghar, along with Asghar’s father and an employee, noting that they appeared unusually calm immediately after the incident while the family was overcome with grief. He dismissed their initial claim that two thieves had broken into the house and killed Hina, calling it a staged story.

Hina Javed Murder Case:

According to Fahad, three individuals, including Faisal and a man named Zeeshan, have been named in the First Information Report (FIR). He alleged that important WhatsApp messages between Hina and her sister Nazia, which mentioned marital problems between the couple, had been deleted. He further claimed that police have not yet carried out a forensic inspection of Faisal’s mobile phone and laptop.

Rejecting the recommendations of a recent high-level police meeting, the family insisted that only an independent judicial commission could conduct a fair inquiry. They requested complete forensic testing of all digital evidence and urged top government leaders to make sure every detail of the murder is investigated so justice is served.
